A storied past.
A spirited future.
For more than fifty years, Wild West Shirt Company has turned the places that move us into art people can carry with them. Now, for the first time, we’re bringing that same pioneering spirit directly to you.
The beginning
A few shirts.
A trunk full
of possibility.
The road started just outside Yellowstone.
In the mid-1960s, a University of Montana student from Livingston began creating T-shirts for friends working alongside him at Yellowstone National Park. He sold those first designs from the trunk of his car—simple souvenirs shaped by a deep love for wild places and the people drawn to them.
The shirts caught on. In 1974, that early spark became Wild West Shirt Company, with its first storefront in Bozeman, Montana. From independent mom-and-pop shops to major resort destinations, the company grew by helping people take home a piece of somewhere unforgettable.
We don’t simply print apparel.
We capture memories.
The work
Made for the places people remember.
What began around Yellowstone expanded from coast to coast. National parks, mountain towns, beaches, harbors, lakes, caverns, ski country, zoos and aquariums—each collection starts with a sense of place and becomes original artwork rich in color, character and detail.
That creative standard is matched by deep customization expertise, an experienced design and sales team, and a commitment to exceptional service. Our designs are still created between Bozeman and New York, and every Wild West product is designed and printed in the USA.
Still moving forward
The logo changed.
Our spirit hasn’t.
Every era has brought a new expression of Wild West. The through line is the same: original art, an independent point of view and a belief that the best things in life begin with going somewhere.
